I'm gonna say Mike Jones from Estill County has to be in contention. It would be odd to leave a school for a district rival, but he lives in Powell County and will be closer to his son, who plays at Morehead.

It's odd that coach Brewer is leaving, especially with the team Powell County is gonna have next season. I could have seen him leave after next season but not this one?!?!

Prestonsburg more than likely wouldnt be open again next season. Prestonsburg overall is a better job than Powell Co. IMO.

There are a lot of good players coming back this season, and a lot of athletes from other sports committing to football this season. I'm shocked and hurt to see Brewer leave, but I guess that's just the business. Besides Mike Jones, any word on any other candidates?

I've been asking around, no one has heard anything. I would hope they would hire someone by May?

What about Kenan McWhorter? He had a good run at Berea and coached at Powell County. Would he be interested?

Talked to the AD a few weeks ago. He told me that a new coach would be hired by the end of May. He told me the job wasn't officially posted until the 1st of May. That's all the news I got

I think thats the best option at this point. Lots of good players on the team from last year.
