That's a late turnover. Any idea what the situation is with Coach Crume?

Has anyone heard anything about this job yet?

Who are top candidates? Timeline to fill the position?

Apollo is currently the last open football coaching job in the state. Any word on candidates?

I think the top candidates for the job will be Jody Ashby from Ohio County or Ryan Emmick from Butler County. Just spit balling though. No hard info. Those are two of the top names that ive heard that have applied.

The program desperately needs someone who can motivate the kids and someone who can extend the branch into the middle school level to help keep some of the Burns and College View kids at Apollo. To many kids leaving the program right now.

Can Apollo "create" a position for the new coach or will they have to assume Coach Crumes teaching assignment? One would think that will determine the hire too

I've been told by several folks that Crume is going to coach the 2017 season and they will re-open the job in 2018. Not a good look at all.

Is this because he wants to or because they can't find someone?

I would have thought that Scotty Vance would have been their choice. He's on the staff with head coaching experience.

I think its because they are having trouble filling teaching position to go along with the head coaching job. Nothing has been finalized as far as I know, but it looks like Crume will return for one last season.

Saw an article recently in the Messenger-Inquier that Crume is now the interim coach again.
