LB/RB Josh Derry - Get ready. The hits are coming. This kid is tough as nails and loves to hit. As a freshman last year he had some of the best hits I saw all season on any level. He is going to be a name everyone will know very well in the coming seasons.

WR/DB Jon Odom - Played varsity minutes as a sophomore last year. I will include him in this list because he was not a starter. Very tough, very quick and elusive. He is a playmaker.

RB/LB Jake Sherron - He is a lot like Odom. He also played varsity minutes as a sophomore. He also is a hard nosed kid who plays bigger than his size and makes plays.

DE/TE Gage Dollenmeyer - Another freshman/sophomore to be. He probably will not be a starter but he will get playing time and he will make plays when he gets the chances.

RB/LB Mitchell Corts - Freshman/Soph to be. Very good athlete. He may not get a lot of playing time because of the quality and experience in front of him but he will be a very good player for Beechwood over the next 3 years.
Is there a kid named Doverspike there? What role will he play in 2017?

Doverspike is a nice player with a nose for the ball who likes to hit. He played on WV's middle school championship team a couple of years ago before transferring.

That's what I remember about him from when he played on the BCPWFL Steelers as a 5th grader. Too bad for the Steelers that his last year he went to the WV league. He and my son would have made a formidable LB tandem for that team. They would now for that matter.

Looking forward to seeing of how Dixie Heights athletes, Nicholas Smedley (OL/DL) and Bryce Smith (LB/QB) develop.

Both have a lot of upside and leadership skills! Go Dixie Heights Colonels football...

Doverspike is another up and comer. He has experienced upper classmen ahead of him so I am not sure of his role this year, but he will be ready and able if the opportunity arises.

I'm excited to see Senior to be Andrew Robinson play football for Simon Kenton he is listed as a linebacker he is 6'0 205 pounds. He is a SK basketball player coming out to play football. He is very athletic. I think he will do well.

Varsity is obviously a stretch for this young man but JV is a definite possibility and that is Jeremiah Lee (Incoming Freshman) at Cooper next year. Led the Union Jags to a Super Bowl last year and has a lot of athletic ability

Yes he does, he is going to be a really good one for Cooper! And I do believe his dad is Jeremiah Sr.

For anyone familiar with the Cooper program he reminds me of the QB who led Cooper to a state runner up, Tyler Morris. Excited to see what the young man can do!
