I think folks maybe surprised. The new staff has the boys fired up and the boys are 100% bought in. The atmosphere is very different than last year for sure....

Everyone is talking about this new staff...can we get some names?

    Good luck this season, Breds!

Maybe around the same as last year or few more. They have new kids coming out and I think some transfers maybe? Really seems to be some excitement about football this year.

This team will look different for sure. They will take on a new identity, better focus and seems to have had a much better off season workout than in years past. I believe this team will be a lot better than people think.

Will Lickert give Kelly some rest on defense or will he need him to play 90% of all plays due to a smaller roster? That's quite a load for even the toughest of players.

I think he will rest him during the season but once playoff time comes around I doubt he comes off the field much.

It'll be interesting to see how Kelly is used. Kelly was recruited for the defensive side of the ball, correct? If so, will it matter to Lickert to use him on defense more than he'd like? Just raising a question, that's all. I could see Lickert running almost everything through Kelly on offense and installing him on the defensive side of the ball for critical down and distance situations where you need to get a stop.

NewCath has several athletic kids to run the ball. I think Kelly plays more defense than offense.

I believe he will be the focal point of the offense if not they will have trouble winning big games. I am not taking anything away from those other players who will get carries but they are the caliber of Kyle. I could be wrong and if they are then they would be scary good. As for defense he will be on the field almost every play especially during playoff time.

Retired coaching legend Bob Schneider stopped by the Breds' practice today. Glad to see him still keeping an eye on things.
