New Gallatin County Facilities
I heard from Coach Tim Browning that Gallatin County will be getting some new facilities for the Football program. "We should have a fieldhouse, new bleachers, press box (no scaffolding, I promise), and LIGHTS! by next year. They're breaking ground in October."
Great news for the Wildcats and also for the media outlets that cover games in Warsaw.
I would imagine this would be the development of the far side of the field that is currently empty. When the program first started, they had an old set of bleachers on that side that later were determined unsafe.
In talking to their superintendent Dot Perkins in the past, tthey have wanted to do this for a while. Glad to see it's coming now.

Great news! I finally got to attend a FB game at my alma mater last year and was a bit embarrassed by the lighting situation (which made photography nearly impossible).

I'm happy for GC and their fans.

By the way, Trimble County is also supposed to be getting an upgrade at the end of next season. The field will be moved a bit, a track added, new bleachers, press box, field house, fence, LIGHTS, and some other finishing touches.

I would think being able to actually see what is going on might be more important. I've been floating the idea of the occasional Saturday afternoon game for years among my local teams here in bourbon country to make up for their crummy lighting.
