A few discussion points to consider...

-Which schools are surprised you with the number of finalists they have produced over time?

-Which schools are you suprised to see with just one or two finalists from...or missing from the list all together?

-Out of 175+ finalists in the last 31 years, there have only been 9 linemen ever considered for the award. Surprised or not surprised?

-Who wasn't a finalist that deserved to be? Why?

-Which finalists do you think should have won but didn't?

-Which finalists did you personally play against? Or see play in person? Any good stories out there?

That 1994 class was loaded for bear. A couple of all-time greats of Ky Prep football at their positions.

The 2017 finalists haven't been announced have they?

I know Frakes published his thoughts on a top ten, but nothing official, right?

You may well be right, 2C. I initially had read the article he posted as being the finalists, but @Jason Frakes definitely said "candidates" and not finalists. I'll go ahead and pull the 2017 names off the list for now.

I really thought Donnie Redd and Chester Ford of Danville should have won the award in 1989 and 1991. I know how good Pookie was but Donnie just did it every year of his career and even more so by switching to QB in the Bone his Senior Season.

And we still got beat in the KY/TN Allstar game and that was with Mike Yeagle coaching the team. Additionally, Travis Prentice was on that team if my memory serves me correct.

Was going to be my exact post. That 94 class was a monster.
