I just hope they assign us a better ref crew than we have seen most of the year. The home crowd will be more for the benefit of our Tigers than to try to shake up a senior QB-led Mayfield team.

IMHO, Mayfield has always been good because they are so good up front. To me, that's Caldwell's biggest challenge this week, not any of the other stuff that keeps getting bandied about.
If Caldwell's offensive line can give Sindelar time he will find receivers and the Tigers will make plays on offense. Caldwell's O-line is pretty good in its own right, especially pass blocking.
Defensively, I don't think Caldwell will get a ton of pressure on Guhy, but the Tigers do need to slow down the Mayfield run game and make a few stops here or there. Caldwell's defense will give up some yardage, but seems to get better as the field gets shorter.
This Caldwell team is leaps and bounds ahead of where it was last year at this time. Sindelar is not the same kid that got off the bus at Mayfield. Will that be enough to beat Mayfield? We'll find out Friday night.
I have to admit, I really want the teams to put on a show! I want to see 5-6,000 crammed into Tiger Stadium and I want to see a football game we'll talk about for ages.
We can all get serious about things again in the playoffs.

Mayfield is not as good as they usually are and this is Caldwell Co's best team ever. Caldwell wins in close one

I'm hearing that Caldwell might not play their starters in the 2nd half. The reasoning being they don't want anybody to get hurt. If that's the case this game is mute. Anybody from Caldwell heard this? My source is from a Caldwell fan.

I haven't heard anything like that.

I think the score of the game will dictate how long Caldwell's starters stay in.
Which, come to think of it, has pretty much been the case all season, I guess.

Yeah, I don't see why the coach would not treat this game like any other game...that they have control of by the half..

By this time tomarrow night the Mayfield faithful will be on here singing the praises of The Caldwell County Tigers and talking about how much better they are then they had thought, nursing their first loss in 23 games. Go Tigers!

If Caldwell can control Mayfield's #4 they could win this game. Don't kick to him and double cover him he's their difference maker. Even match-up but it's just seem like Mayfield always rise to their opponents level and steals a win.
