Looking Ahead to a Probable 6A Semifinal Matchup. #2 Trinity at #4 North Hardin

A looming matchup for North Hardin versus Trinity in the state semifinals in Radcliff poses problems for the Trojans. I was able to witness Trinity at Male earlier this season and both of these teams can match North Hardin's physicality up front as well as size. The big difference as I see it is that Trinity is better on the offensive side of the ball compared to North Hardin, whose offense seems to disappear at times during a game. Trinity should be able to score 30+ points against North Hardin. I am not sure North Hardin can put up these kind of numbers on Trinity.
Anybody else seen both of these two teams this season and what are your thoughts?

All you need to know is look at North Hardin’s score vs Ballard and then look at Trinity’s scores against Ballard. I don’t think this will be a competitive game.

Won't McCracken County have something to say about this? Doesn't Trinity play South Oldham too? Both of those games could be blowouts, but one should count their eggs and all that.

It’s always best to focus on this week’s game. Next week is not promised to anyone

Trinity moving on, yeah I’ll go with. But if I’m a North Hardin fan, I make sure I worry about McCracken Co.

I think North will be focused on this week right now. And if they win, then they can focus on that team. I think HCP just has some more time on their hands since his team is not playing anymore.

Good one MrKnowNothing, but I will be at North Hardin games as long as they are still a player in the 6A playoffs.

Trinity/Male/St Xavier have not been kind to Hardin County teams in the playoffs going back to the 4 classification set up when John Hardin played St Xavier.

I haven't seen McCracken County this year but I assume they haven't played a defense on par with North Hardin. If they don't have excellent corners and safety, North Hardin's QB Manie Wimberly will have a good passing night throwing to as amany as 5 different receivers. McCracken needs to throw downfield and use the short and intermediate passing routes and somehow protect their QB from an onslaught of monsters on the defensive line. Forget running between the tackles and get it to the edges as quick as possible.

I would rather McCracken win so that Trinity could get another home game, but I don't see it happening. Haven't been to E-town since T beat Central Hardin a few years ago. And it's not a bad drive.

McCracken County saw Mayfield earlier this year, and their offense would match up with anything North Hardin has, I'd be willing to say. I wouldn't underestimate those Mustangs this year. They seem to be getting better every week.

You are correct. But there's nothing to do in Radcliff before a game.
