1.6A: Scott County (4-2):
After suffering back to back losses to Ohio powerhouses, the Cardinals bounced back in convincing fashion as they put up a running the clock on Bryan Station, 49-12. Senior running back Brice Fryman led the rushing attack with 146 yards and 3 TD’s on 4 touches, that’s 37 yards a touch. Senior quarterback, Josh Davis was 3/3 for 130 yards through the air, 2 TD’s and 0 INT’s.

2.2A: Lexington Christian (6-0):
Theirs 3 sweet things that you will always wanna try and do in sports (if you play them), 1. Win a state title, 2. Beat an arch rival, 3. Go undefeated, that’s what the kids at LCA are on the verge of doing as they ran their win streak/undefeated streak to 6 straight with a 31 point thrashing over Kentucky Country Day, who came into the contest undefeated as well.

3.2A: Danville (6-0):
Danville remained perfect this week, crushing Garrard County by 40, 42-2. If both teams remain perfect, in 1 month, will be the game to see. Danville v LCA but the Ads must focus on Tates Creek first.

4.3A: Boyle County (5-1):
The Rebels didn’t have a problem with North Hardin as they ran past the Trojans, 56-10. Boyle County will be able to relax this week and prepare for district foe, Garrard County.

5.3A: Western Hills (4-1):
Western Hills picked up their 4th straight win Friday night defeating Woodford County 47-24. Hills will host 5-1 Washington County next Friday.

6.3A: Lexington Catholic (3-3):
The Knights are having trouble putting back to back wins up. Catholic played a hard fought game but 12 points was the separation between LexCath and DeSales 38-26.

7.6A: Frederick Douglass (4-1):
The Broncos are rolling in their first ever season and Friday night showed as they just destroyed Paul Dunbar 52-0. What’s more impressive? Frederick Douglass only allowed 34 yards of total offense by Dunbar.

8.6A: Tates Creek (4-1):
The Commodores had the week off to prepare for #3 Danville.

9.5A: Anderson County (4-1):
The Bearcats also had the week off and will now face Grant County this coming Friday.

10.4A: West Jessamine (4-2):
The Colts seen their 4 game winning streak come to an end in heart breaking fashion as they fell to Taylor County 26-20 in overtime.

TEAMS ON THE MOVE UP:
6A: Henry Clay (2-3): Henry Clay picked up their 2nd consecutive win Friday defeating Lafayette 21-17.

5A: Madison Southern (4-2): The Eagles picked up a nice win crushing Pulaski County 60-21.

4A: Franklin County (3-2): The Flyers defeated Shelby County 30-3.

6A: Madison Central (3-3): Central didn’t have a problem cruising past Bourbon County 50-7.

5A: Montgomery County (4-1): The Indians had the week off last week.

1A: Frankfort (4-2): The Panthers defeated Newport 45-15 Friday.

1A: Paris (4-1): The Greyhounds didn’t have a problem defeating Berea, as they cruised past the Pirates 68-0.


TEAMS ON THE DOWNFALL:
6A: Lafayette: The Generals dropped yet another game, their 5th straight.

3A: Garrard County: The Golden Lions fell hard to Danville Friday night, 42-2.


PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Nathan Skidmore (RB Powell County) The JR running back had 140 yards, 3 TD’s on 14 carries, a fumble recovery (63 yards) for a TD and had 26 of Powell County’s 50 points in the Pirates blowout district win over Magoffin County 50-12.


GAMES OF THE WEEK:
6A: Paul Dunbar at 6A: Lafayette: Two of the most struggling teams in the state. Dunbar is looking for their first win this season and end their 8 game losing streak dating back to last season. Lafayette on the other hand is looking to get their second win and snap their 5th straight game.

2A: Washington County at 3A: Western Hills: The 5-1 Commanders travel to Frankfort Friday night to battle the 4-1 Western Hills Wolverines. Hills defeated Washington County 54-40 last season.
