Default Lexington Catholic 46 Campbell County 6 (Scrimmage)

The game was originally scheduled at Campbell Co but was moved to LexCath due to delayed construction of Campbell Counties new facilities.

As expected LexCath relied on its passing to provide the scoring. Kyle Bolin hit all of key receivers for long strikes at various times. Adam Bush has graduated. Senior Casey Nash and Junior David Bovier are the primary wide outs and return after lots of playing time last year. Senior Anthony Kersey is playing both sides of the ball this year after primarily playing defense last year. He made some good catches and looks to be a key part of the offensive package this year. In the backfield was Macelus Logan at tailback and Marty Brown at fullback. Junior Noah Mitchell was still not in pads recoverying from a summary injury but hopes to be ready for Bell County.

On defense Seniors Alex Nash and David Hayden played well. Josh Mesmer has moved to the Mike (MLB) position. Campbell Co. go some break away runs showing that there is work to be done with the 3-5 defense that the Knights like to run. On the defensive line Mark Klueh (6'0", 333 lbs) was strong and not easily stopped. Mark sat out last season. He is a senior this year. Teams will have to double team him on most plays and that will help keep the knight DBs free which what they like since they bring lots of different looks on defense.

The game was a normal 4 quarter mostly. Freshmen were able to play a scrimmage on the baseball side of the field. Campbell Country brought a good number of fans. So there seems to be a good excitement and support for their program.
