Looks like Male's 3-0 record was paper mache, or a very nice win for Lex Cath.

Didn't someone in the prediction thread say Lex Cath would be exposed in this one? It looks like it may be the other way around.

Thought Male would win this one. Very impressive job by the Knights.

No. 7 Lexington Catholic 28, No. 18 Male 7: The Knights (3-1) scored in every quarter and held Male scoreless until the final minute of the game, winning in Louisville and giving the Bulldogs (3-1) their first loss of the season. Louisville recruit Kyle Bolin was only 16-for-33 but passed for 232 yards and three TDs.
David Bouvier led the Knights with eight catches for 90 yards. Sam Letton and Jaylen Jones caught TD passes of 13 yards and 19 yards, respectively.

Male must be weak offensively. I saw LexCath play earlier this year and they had many obvious weaknesses on defense. To only score one TD against them doesn't give Male any hope at all of competing against the big boys.

Lex Cath has a good team. They may have gotten clobbered by Ensworth, but many others would too. If Ensworth played Trinity, it would be a very good game.

If you watched the Ensworth game the comments are understandable. Even in the opening Bell County game the Knights gave up a lot of running yards as players adjusted to to new positions and new starters learned the complex 3-5. The Knights shut out Bell and Lafayette defensively allowing no offensive points. The score last night came with JV in in the last minute.

The Knight did lose top tackler Alex Nash in Ensworth game for a few weeks with dislocated shoulder. The question of who would step up during his absence has been mostly answered - Anthony Kearsy (#13). He has been all over the field the last 2 games.
