I know if I was a high school football player, I would'nt want to leave my home town, travel 2 or 3 hours on a school bus, and then go try to play a good football team. That would really be a disadvantage.

Home games are easier to win because the team is more comfortable on their own playing surface and also travel time for some of the playoff games are ridiculous.

For example: the last two teams to play Somerset in this year's playoffs have been Phelps and Pikeville. Phelps had to travel 4 hours to come to Somerset and Pikeville will be traveling about 3 hours and 15 minutes.

    That is a definite disadvantage.

Everyone on here made really good points and I cant disagree with any. Home field is very important to everyone due to everyone being comfortable because nothing is new.
