Congrats to JD. I really thought he had a D1 leg. I'm really surprised he didn't go D1. He could always switch up I guess. He will probably do great and get to play defense as well.

Congrats Jared, I wish you much success athletically and academically. I've never met you or your son JOAT but in watching him play over the last couple of years I can tell he's the kind of player that a lot of heart and "want to". Both will serve him well at the next level. Have fun and good luck!

Congrats to the kid! May he do well in the classroom as well as on the field!
Lindsey Wilson has certainly started from nothing in the beginning just a few years ago, built a nice facility and now are poised to compete for national championships. The VERY best part about it is the fact that they are using mostly KENTUCKY kids. Look at the rosters for Pikeville, Union and especially Cumberlands. A lot of out of state kids.
Best of luck to Lindsey Wilson!

Congrats to this young man. One of the best high school kickers I have ever seen. What a great get for LW. A lot of D1 schools missed the boat on this kid. Look to see this young man kicking on Sunday's some day. Congrats to Jared and his family.

No he will not play on the field at this point in time. All of the schools that have been in contact have mentioned that they like the fact that he did actually play a position on the field. He may do a little punting as well, but they recruited him to be their kickoff and PAT guy.

Do they have a kicker for just field goals? I know that some teams have a short game/long game platoon. Either way, I'm glad for you guys that he gets to continue playing. Only a select group do. Testament to a lot work and talent.

He will actually be the field goal guy also. Poor wording on my part.

The amount that LWC has grown their program despite only being 6 years old is amazing. Being a student there when they made the announcement, I would have never thought they would have come thus far, this fast.
