He did call the offense of the state final the year Dale missed for a funeral. He did call offense for the JV team. He was also very good at breaking down film from what I am told

I will ask this question again, is there a job opening posted on the school website for a football coach?
    Must have been an opening?

When a guy like Siple comes along and wants to help, you make an opening.

Let me state this more clearly for you. Is Mr. Siple being paid? My understanding is "NO" therefore there is/was not an opening. A coach of any sport can have a "volunteer" help them out. It is still subject to school board approval, but if not a paid position it is not announced.

Not sure how I can make this any clearer.

Wasn't the defense the problem this year because Highlands didn't have trouble scoring.

You are definitely on to something here. Now from here start putting pieces of the puzzle together.

Someone recently told me that Highlands' supporters are the biggest fence-builders we've seen since 19th Century pioneers.

I don't know if the above is true or not but I will say that anyone that is blasting @Footballforever74 or "BGP" over this thread should take a long, hard look in the mirror.

Maybe he should have titled it Highlands is about to add Offensive Guru and Former Head Coach Kevin Siple to the staff to Coach QBs and RBs and help Coordinate the Highlands Offense. But I am sure some of you would have a problem with that too, because after all, he may be a volunteer and that means it doesn't count outside the fence.

Is Kevin going to help Coordinate the Highlands Offense? I am going to go on record and say that is a big ole NO.

As I said, CAP was on to something. Put a little thought into it. I will ask the question again, were there any job openings announced or better yet, did anyone leave the coaching staff?

No dog in this fight, but does anyone else find it odd that it took an "outsider" to break the news here on BGP? With as many HHS fans as we have here, I guess that's the strangest thing about the whole story to me.

You amaze me JOAT, but I am sure glad you are here.

And to answer your question, any high school that brings Kevin Siple on staff and doesn't use his talents to help coordinate their offense should be banned from postseason play by the KHSAA.

I will say it again. Kevin is a volunteer that is there to help with the offensive skill guys. He is not the "new" OC. Fact.

The original poster's semantics may have indeed been off. The gist of the story, evidently, was not.

I would have thought that HHS supporters would have been shouting from the rooftops as soon as they heard the news, though.
