I personally felt that way after Male struggled to put Fern Creek away earlier this season. Both Fern Creek and Manual are great teams but neither score was truly expected.

The argument for Boyle County is there and for those who don't think so are just not wanting to believe it because no team should be able to beat a top notch Louisville team. This Boyle County squad is loaded with talent, they are well coached, and can play with anyone in the state.

I would like to see Boyle play Trinity’s schedule. I am sure the out of state schools would be willing to add them.

Boyle County wouldn't last with the schedule like that year in and year out. This Boyle County team is one of a kind. This would be the year they could take down a Trinity or a Male.

I'm sure Trinity would love to add them. Please give our AD a call.

Boyle County couldn't compete with Trinity year in and year out. Boyle County doesn't have hundreds of players to choose from so it would take a special year kind of like this year.

Johnson Central is really good. Very disciplined don’t beat themselves. Huge offensive line and a four year starter at quarterback who is awesome. He reads the defense on the option as good as anyone I have seen. If the opponent doesn’t stay at home and take care of their assignment he will take it to the house. I still say Male, Trinity Boyle a distant third and Johnson Central has to be right on their heels. I’m looking forward to that matchup in Lexington 1st weekend in December.

I think it is a tribute to both Boyle Co. and Johnson Central to even be mentioned in this discussion. They are both County schools that have to play with the players they have, not who they can get. Boyle is a 3A school in size playing up to 4A this year. To then compare these 4A schools to the 6A power houses is not really fair. No, they couldn't play with these 6A schools every year, but we are only talking about this year. Give these two coaching staffs the same number of players and the same opportunities that these schools have and this chest thumping would end very quickly.

Why are they playing 4A if they are 3A size?

Because Lex Cath had to move up and their 4A District presented closer competition than their 3A District would. Plus Lex Cath and the Rebels have a special District rivalry for the most of 30 years.

Cool. I had no idea. I knew you could play up but I was just unaware that they were. Hopefully I'll get to check them out in Lexington in December.

Looking at the bracket Boyle and JC would play in a state semi the night after thanksgiving in Danville. Am I reading that right?

The bracket is confusing but my understand is they will face off in Lexington granted they get there. Someone with more knowledge of this system will have to elaborate more. Anyone?

No, the only possible way is in the state final. Boyle and JC are #1 and #2 in overall RPI which will keep them away from each other until the finals.
