    Holy Cross (Covington) 2015

What does Holy Cross need to do to improve in 2015? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Need to get numbers up for depth. Encourage people at a young age to checkout holycross and its education and athletics. Encourage kids to want to come there over the other local Catholic schools offering football. My last opinion would be to try and put a youth football team together to play in the kenton county peewee league like southkenton and now Taylormill Eagles do . This should encourage kids and build numbers .

A couple of familiar names on the coaching staff in Latonia: Lance Johnson (Beechwood '97) and Erich Black (Cov Cath '97) are coaching the defensive and offensive lines. A couple of solid guys added to the sidelines by Coach Koz.

From what I'm hearing, I hope to see a lot out of Derrick Barnes this season. There's been some talk on here about his being a real-deal D1 prospect for the Indians. If I'm not mistaken, he's a cousin of Shawn Alexander.

Are they returning a lot of starters this year. I thought they were young last year.

Holy Cross will be way better than they have been the last 2years. They young guys have experience now and Derek Barnes is the real deal. I can't wait to see this kid play

The non-district schedule is about right for them. No sure wins but most games they should be competitive in. They MUST improve on defense or at least look they have an interest in it. Big RB returns so offense should be okay but they had no interest in tackling last year.

Bardstown is playing a district game against Louisville Waggener that night. Is it possible Holy Cross is playing Bardstown BETHLEHEM?

Good catch, thank you. The Holy Cross website clearly says Bardstown (silly way to shorten Bardstown Bethlehem), but the Bethlehem website confirms you are right, Bethlehem @ Covington Holy Cross.

When did Scott (located in Taylor Mill) and Beechwood (in Fort Mitchell) move their campuses to Covington??

Never head it used for Beechwood, but in central Kentucky (Herald-Leader in particular) they have always used Covington in front of Scott. I always assumed it was done to distinguish between it and Scott County.

The cities were pulled from KHSAA.org several years ago. Scott is still listed as Covington today. Looks like Beechwood now is listed as Ft Mitchell. I will update my records
