Really interesting game. I think BC scored on their first 3 possessions.

    2nd half all Birds.

BC's kickoff return team killed them in the 2nd half. Mishandled kicks. Terrible field position. Gave Birds a lot of momentum. Add in a a couple of TOs and it was lights out.

Boyle simply ran out of gas. Highlands has way to much depth and it really showed in the second half.

That and going to the one back set??? Run it until they stop you. Once Hayes ran over and through the Boyle's D, it was game over.

I have heard through the NKY grapevine that Highlands has installed a 2 platoon system for the D-Line alone. That was what wore down Boyle Co. supposedly.

Hayes' TD run was very impressive.

Congrats to HHS. They picked up steam and never looked back.

Got to give Boyle credit in the first half. They had their running game working.

Fun night in the Fort. Had dinner with RTS, PP92 and his son, and QRyche. Met Mex , RCC9, and FTBigbird. Met Whack'em as well.

Hung with the beautiful people at the game - Oldbird, Jamie Walz, Mr Walz, Robdiggity's beautiful mother, Stinkyboy, and Kevin Nieporte. Enjoyed the conversation with all.

Got to meet PP92 and some other BGP legends tonight. Super guys! Feel bad for the long ride home for the Rebels.

I'm sure that fatigue had a little bit to do with the implosion, but Boyle gave this one away. They absolutely dominated the first half. Envision Trinity all over again without a lot of passing. Birds were lucky to even score in the first half. Nice kickoff return that gave them a very short field and what I feel was a poor coaching decision for an on side kick when Boyle was dominating. Again gave HHS a short field, score and a little momentum. Without the nice return and the recovered on side kick, I think HHS goes into the half down 24-0.

The birds did fight back and dominated the second half though. Have to give them credit. A few Boyle mistakes really turned the momentum around and the birds took advantage.

These two teams will meet again. Don't let the final score fool ya. Much closer game without a few key mistakes.

Just in from Skyline, rolled through the front door thanks to whackem cuz I certainly didn't need cheese coneys. Congrats to the Birds for making adjustments at the half. The Rebels running game dominated the first half. I also wondered why Boyle kicked onside up 9 points when their kicker could clearly reach endzone. #18 for Boyle was a stud and when he left the game it really hurt the Rebels. Turnovers in the 2nd half killed Boyle and they were clearly gassed.

Bird defense played better and more inspired in the 2nd half. They still have a ways to go with stopping the run and silly penalties. Donovan McCoy and Halen Hayes ran very effectively in the 2nd half as did bruising back Zac Harris. Saw some dropped balls for both teams, big drops that could have been key plays.

It won't get any easier next week with Scott Co coming to town. Great effort by the Boyle Co Rebels tonight, hold your heads high cuz you are a fine team. Great to see my fellow Bgpers out tonight you know who you are.

Had the spread called perfect but didn't think either team would put up that many points. Would like to hear from the Boyle folks as to why they went away from their bread and butter in the second half, just doesn't make any sense.
