Highlands 28 Beechwood 0 (JV)

Page 2 of 21-0 Highlands up at half. Tigers have looked as bad as any Tigers team I have seen. Collinsworth is the real deal 2 rushing TD... 18 comments | 1470 Views | Go to page 1 →

    Someone sent me this:

I have no interest in getting into a debate over the JV game today at HHS but...

Yes HHS was called for 3 PF's throughout the game.

    1. Hit on the sideline. Aggressive play that contact was made right at the out of bounds marker and continued to the sideline.

    2. Roughing the passer that was called but no one even saw it as we all followed the ball.

    3. A late hit out of bounds where the defender tackled the QB at least 2 yards out of bounds and rolled him over near the school. This was the only one that was really bad and the young man was removed from the game from the game by the coaches.

Using the term cheap shots is way out of line. It was a hard fought respectful game on both sides. HHS players are just more physically mature than some of the frosh that Beechwood had in the game.

None of those PF's had anything to do with player size or maturity. One was a yard out of bounds. The next was prob five yards out of bounds on the concrete. The last one I saw was a crack-back type of hit during a punt return and completely unnecessary.

So the player was 15 feet out of bounds and was then hit by a defender? Come on.

Come on guys. It was a hard hitting game. The only one that was very flagrant was the one over by the school and HHS coach’s took the kid out of the game.
Lets talk about how HHS def has played 3 games and have yet to give up a point even with giving the Tigers the ball 1st and 10 from the 10 on penalties before half and at the end of the 4th qtr.
