    Looks like it will be another #1 vs #1 matchup like HHS/CCH.

    I would love to be able to see this game in person. Lexington Catholic has excellent skilled players. Wes Caldwell (WR) will be the best athlete on the field. He is the man to stop. Cornell Burbage, Jr. is a good high school receiver, but not the game breaker Caldwell is. One thing is for sure, Highlands will have a nice scheme to stop the Knights. It is a matter of executing Coach Mueller's design.

    As for predictions. It's playoff time and the Bluebirds have at least two major advantages:

    1. Home field advantage;

    2. Defense wins championships. Lexington Catholic will not be bringing much of a
    defense on Friday night in Ft. Thomas.

    I thought the Knights could win one of the playoff games against the Northern Kentucky teams, but not both. That being said.......Bluebirds by a surprisingly comfortable margin. The Lexington Catholic playoff hex continues.

    LexCath has some big boys on their team. Do the hoggies (and as most former linemen know, that's a term of affection, not an insult) play much or does Lex Cath go with the small quick linemen on o and d?

    With the exception of the left offensive tackle, they employ a small, quick line.

Tim was as good as they come in high school qbs and he had some good receivers. We were able to find a way to beat them. If we did it then, we can do it now. We realize it won't be easy at all and better bring our A game not only to the game, but every practice this week. Looking forward to seeing LexCath and welcoming your fans to Ft. Thomas.

    Burke is not quite the passer Couch was, but he is a much more explosive athlete.

    LC's receivers are much better and much more explosive than Leslie Co.'s.

    With that being said, I still think the Birds will win.

    The Cornell Burbage that played Friday night vs. CCH was extremely explosive and a game breaker-he went 80 on a screen play!!!!!

    It will be closer than you think.

    These kids are too young to remember Tim Couch playing at HHS. That was in '95 these kids were 8 and younger. Hard to remember yesterday let a lone 10 years ago.

    That's the difference at Highlands: my son is one of the players that remembers the game quite well thank you.
