    Henry Clay 42 Southwestern 7

Final. SW keep it close for a half but just could not generate enough offense to to keep the defense fresh and HC put up 28 in the second half...Best HC team I've seen in several years....

Jerry Williams continues his impressive QB play with 141 yards and a 66 yard TD run on eight carries. Williams completed 17 of 27 passes for 169 yards and three TD passes of 33, 15, and 6 yards.

Heard that SW had close to 300 yards but couldn't score. What happened, turnovers?

Two turnovers on downs and a fumble all inside the HC five yard line...

Congrats to HC. Coached a lot of those kids in 7th/8th grade including Jerry who seems to be coming into his own!

HC showed in the second half why they are one of the top in 6a. I was surprised at what few players HC had being 6a.

HC must be pretty good, because SW in really good in the trenches on both sides.

Henry Clay is very good. However, I think you might be overestimating SW on the offensive side of the ball. They've got a couple of really good running backs that covered up some holes on their offensive line and at quarterback the first couple of weeks. The Warriors don't have as good of an offensive line as in the past and the Blue Devils made their quarterback have to make plays which he wasn't able to do. They have to get better up front offensively and behind center the next few weeks--if they do they can win the district.

They did not travel with their freshmen or JV team. When PC traveled there for this years scrimmage, they had over a 100 kids dressed. So they brought just Varsity players.
