Douglass is definitely a contender. Between the two interceptions thrown and two drives without points in the red zone, this could have definitely been worse for Scott County.

Lots of serious hitting too by both teams.

#5 is very impressive for Frederick Douglass. Fishback is impressive too.

    Douglass the real deal.

Scott County finishes third in the district? Sets up a second round Scott - FD matchup in Lexington?

I think it will be whoever finishes second Douglass or Henry Clay at either school.

Assuming all plays out as expected from here on, Scott County would be the three seed and would travel to the second place finisher in District 6 (Simon Kenton or Campbell County) in the first round. If they won and the District 8 champion (either Douglass or Henry Clay) won their first round game, then Scott County would travel to said winner in the second round.

It was said on the broadcast at the end of the game that Scott County had the ball for 30 minutes and that Douglass had it for 17 minutes. Scott County also had four more first downs. A lot of credit has to be given to the Broncos defense for holding Scott County to as few points as they did for the time that they were on the field.

I don't know if there were any Douglass doubters coming into tonight, but there shouldn't be any left after this game.

The fumble by Scott County late! Scott County had some very costly penalties too. Does Douglass sit on the throne? One things for sure Lexington will be interesting!! Stay tuned.

I watched alot of this game on Prepspin. I can't wait to see these two teams potentially meet up once more in the playoffs.
