Fern Creek @ Ryle - Predictions

Ryle hammered Fern Creek 55-10 last year at Fern Creek. I believe Adam Schmitz had 5 or 6 TD's that game. This year Fern Creek visits Ryle. Ryle is 4-3 and coming off a disappointing loss to Conner last week. Fern Creek is 4-1, but I'm not too certain they have any real signature wins so far (correct me if I'm wrong). This could be a big game for Ryle should they end up tied with several other teams in the district (they'll need Fern Creek's wins for a potential tiebreaker).

I'll say Ryle wins by 10, but since I don't know much about Fern Creek, I admit it's a totally "homer" pick.

Fern Creek by 14. FC is quick and can pass. IMHO FC QB is one of the the best passers in KY, so Ryle may have some difficulty. Throw last years score out the window, FC has matured over last year.

I 'm not sure Coop, but I think that I read Fern Creek is ranked in the top ten this year in their respective class, I think it's 4A?

No, they're 6A. Not sure if they are ranked or not. Keep in mind that they were ranked 6th in the state last year when Ryle went down to their place and beat them badly. That's not to imply that that game will have any impact on this year, only that the rankings don't necessarily mean all that much.

Ryle's quick Defense will pressure th QB and cause him to throw some interceptions. The Defense will step it up this week for Ryle, and if the Offense calls good plays at the right situations, Ryle will win by two TD's.

I just hope Ryle isn't looking past FC to Boone next week.

After watching what Conner's spread offense did against Ryle last week, I've got to go with Fern Creek in this game. The Tigers' offense makes Conner's look pedestrian. Having seen both teams perform, the only facet of this game where I see an advantage for Ryle is the Home Field. Fern Creek is out for revenge and will get it.

Surely Ryle will be out for redemption this week after a poor overall performance vs. Conner. I look for a close game. Always rooting for our NKY squads. Go Raiders!
