Ennquirer football preview!

The Enquirer's high school football preview begins next Tuesday. I love reading the previews, it gets me excited knowing football is really close!!!

The KY Post did a much better job of this for all sports. Again, nothing for the schools south of Florence.

I agree 100%. The Post outclassed the Enquirer in all Prep sports coverage, not just football. Even today with only one local paper the Enquirer seems to half a$$ it. I loved coming home from football practice and reading the previews during the summer double sessions, and also the Thursday previews of friday nights games. They always had a big write up of a team or individual on fridays, and their Saturday recaps were tremendous. I always have and always will believe the Post was a better paper.

Go to www.nky.com and drill to sports ... high school. The Enquirer is not doing one big preview. They are doing previews daily over the entire week. Unfortunately, I am having trouble finding links to the stories they have done so far. They may be running a day behind on the website links. Here are a couple links for you:

They had a lot to say about Newport. I don't know verbatim but it was something like, "Nick Rice and Ed Eviston played pee wee against each other".

I believe as kids they both were on the same team for the Newport firefighters.

I was pictured in our team capsule my JR. year w/ Eddie Eviston. You would have thought I was a big deal. They mentioned me as one of the guys on the line. I always took that to mean that I was just a handsome dude being used to move the paper.

This is what you all really want??? Other posts have stated. So you can post on here and share the accolades of the players. Not as many people read this, but this is the new age of communication. Talking with a few of your closest friends about things you already knew about.
