Swartz is a player on both sides of the ball. Great speed and breaks tackles well.

Simmons has a gun. He's a big time talent.

Much better offensive flow to this game. Keep us updated. I gotta hit the road.

I meant Sammons, Greenup's QB. The kid throws a really nice ball.

Greenup Co has hit some plays in the 2nd half and missed tackles. Final score will not reflect the game.

Bath Co's best player has been sitting since the end of the 1st quarter. They will be fine. Saw what they wanted to. We will agree to disagree.

Frankly, Russell didn't look very sharp tonight. That's what these games are for, though, fine tuning and smoothing out the rough spots.

A few key starters sat out so we didn't get a look at the whole picture. Maybe they'll all be ready to go against Wheelersburg next week.

Some positives... the defense runs to the ball well, which has become a staple under TJ... A lot of new faces saw a lot of reps tonight... Grant Wilburn looked good at QB for the most part. He did miss on a few throws, though... Not sure if he'll see significant reps with the varsity this year, but freshman Ethan Sharp was the most impressive of Russell's ball carriers tonight. He had several nice runs and a pick on defense.

Some negatives... The Devils didn't appear to play with much fire. You'd think they'd be a little more enthusiastic about getting to finally hit someone in a different colored jersey... Continuity and execution on offense was an issue. Last season, this was a problem that wasn't solved until about 5 games in. Hopefully, the kinks are ironed out a little sooner this year... Ryan Stump got banged up tonight. Don't want to speculate on the nature or severity of the injury. Fingers crossed that he'll be ready to go by Week 1.

This is a scrimmage game not the super bowl like Greenup thought it was.

Greenup is a team in transition that will rely on any success they have. Scott Grizzle knows how to win, but the program as a whole is still learning to do just that. That being said, none of the Greenup County teams faced anything like what they will see in their district games and much if their regular season schedule. No one will show much offensively and defensively, most coaches look for effort and see what kind of depth they are goina have looking at their 1s vs their 2s, different groups, etc. I expect all three Greenup Co schools to be much better than what they showed in the grid.

I'd be remissed if I didn't comment on the improvement of East Carter. They've got some good looking players and look primed to have their best season in a while.

Josh Ford, Levi Sparks, Gabe Limings, and Luke Sparks all stood out. Limings especially looked good at the TE position.

East Carter's off-season work ethic was apparent too. They don't really have what I'd call huge linemen, but those kids were solidly built and carry their weight well.

Good luck to the Raiders this year. Go grab a playoff spot!

For those who watched all six games.

Rank the teams based on what you seen.

Link to pics for all six games.

It says link not found, but I clicked on it, with two different computers and it brought up the pics, on both computers?

I think you have to make them public so we can see them. I get to your page, but don't see the links.
