If that were the measure Boyle could have extended theirs out to 2010 with 7 titles from '99 to '10 and one runner-up. Add another semi-final appearance and 13-1 seasons in '08.
i didnt consider it a run but i saw someone else mention a similar situation with lots of semifinalist appearances and so wondered if that was legit or not.

[QUOTE=ATLCat;6141246]I believe Belfry is up to a 31 game winning streak against KY competition
QUOTE]It's 30 in a row against KY teams. Last lost to KY school was last regular season game of 2014 to Johnson Central.

    5 in 2014, 13 in 2015, 12 in 2016

I think an impressive stat is 48-3 vs KY schools over 4 years. They have played some good competition too, but their only KY losses were Pikeville, and twice to Johnson Central.

Love it, and thanks for the info. Programs do run in cycles, while some seem to sustain it longer than others. Suspect superior coaching consistency, but not up to the research myself.

Winning 24 of past 49 state titles in the largest division is worth a mention. Add in 4 runner-up trophies. 600 wins from 1955 through 2016. That's an average of 9.67 wins per season. The school won or tied 78.7% of the 767 games played.
