Ashland does not and I'm guessing the City does not allow this or they would. Schools like Russell Fairview and Greenup do. Seems like a good way to make extra cash for the school or the Football program.

Have to have a type of gaming license in order to do it, in KY its not as big of an issue, I think its a $1000 fee to get the license.

I see nothing wrong with having a Split the Pot but should employees of the school be eligible to participate?

If your going to go there, should parents of players, or students in the activity be eligible?

Trinity does not. Nor does St. Xavier. Both probably should. You know "we" love to gamble!

If you do it more than 3 times per year and expect more than $150 each time, you need a gaming license exemption certificate, and its free, but you must fill out an application. Application is a tad tedious, but it should be a no-brainer to get one.

Brossart does it during their basketball games but I have yet to see them do any split the pots at a football game.

I quit participating in split the pots after a group at an event basically told the people who won they had to give all the money back they had won because, "thats what you are supposed to do."

Thsrocks, get behind this idea and sell it to the Trinity athletic department and board.
Raising money is always a good idea.

I believe Trinity and X do not do them due to their presidents not wanting them. Not sure why, we do two at a Trivia fundraiser for Lifehouse Louisville.
