Might be a really good fit for his style of play.

I visited Wofford two years ago. They have great football facilities. The Carolina Panthers hold training camp there.

Good to hear. I believe another kid that played for Danville played football for Wofford. Mike Jones.

Good for him. Sad that a Lexington "twitter personality" called him out for his supposed grades, and the reasoning for no D1 scholarships. He was shut up pretty quickly.

Nathan Fuqua went to Wofford in 1999. After graduation he became a member of the staff and worked his way up to DC (went to Ga State this past season). Shadon Brown also joined the staff after his stint at Rowan County. He would later go to Army before moving on to Colorado (I think). Yes they recruited Mike Jones from DHS about 5 years ago as an OL.

I've never been there and not exactly sure where it is.

    Is it a long drive?

It's in Spartanburg, South Carolina. First city you come to in South Carolina after you leave Asheville on I-26.

The best community park I've ever seen is located in Spartanburg. There's also a little store called Abbott Farms off the interstate. All kinds of farm foods, including canned goods.

It's about 5 hours from Danville. We usually stop there on the way to Hilton Head.

Very cool. Wofford has a solid football tradition. They were in the semis of the FCS playoffs this year falling to the Bison.

Not sure how many Kentucky kids have went to Wofford but it seems like they've recruited Kentucky pretty strong the last several years (no doubt because of Brown and Fuqua). A receiver from Lafayette went two years ago and a running back from Paintsville was there this year.
