For the Purples, I was proud of their effort. I didn't love the play calling but it's easy to armchair QB and they went with their strengths. But as many know the better strategy was to pass against CovCath. BG didn't do that until it was too late. But I am still proud of my team and excellent year overall.

I want to wish the Colonels good luck next week and hope they win it all!

Adding the kicker kicking into the end zone and being accurate overall is a weapon. Add to the others they are tough.

43-1 has a lot to with that defense.
I agree the CCH QB made tough play after play tonight and was the difference in the game.

Seeing those two square off directly against one another tonight was a real treat. This was two of the most recognizable names in Kentucky high school football finally meeting for the first time on the field of play. It's just a shame Tisdale wasn't 100%.

Great season for the Purples. They came a long way and getting to the final four isn't easy. And considering where they started the year, great season. They should be proud of it.

Covington Catholic was just a better team. Their QB and Ol were by the far the reason they dominated tonight. They were the complete difference. Sometimes you just run into a better team and that's what happened tonight.

BG is one offensive player away from being a great team and possibly playing for a state championship.

But I knew their offense would kill them tonight and it did. But it was even worse than I thought. I predicted 28-7 as the final score and BG couldn't even sniff a score until the end. They just had nothing going. They kept running the same plays over and over. Never tried to throw it down field, never really even tried to throw medium passes either. Terrible play calling, terrible execution. The offense just couldn't go anywhere.

I thought the coaching staff should have made the QB change coming out of halftime down 14-0 with the ball. It was obvious the entire first half Cooper just didn't have it and couldn't make it happen. They needed to try something and take some chances.

Great win by Covington Catholic and a really nice facility.

The first time Bowling Green has been shut out since 2014.

Nice effort by the Colonels defense.

CovCath moves to 3-0 all time vs. the Purples.

My question is.. why would you have made a QB change? Because he was getting Blitzed all night? He never had time to even wait for a receiver to get down field. He did ALL he could to keep it alive. The first quarter BG was moving the ball but penalties prevented momentum. He didn’t throw but 1 bad pass. Then the game plan changed for some crazy reason. Would you have put in different RB’s, receivers and a OL as well? Pretty sure the RB’s that dominated South Oldham could barely get yardage. Cooper was listed as the leading rusher. You have to be given the right blueprint to even be able to execute.
CCH backups were in once their backup QB was put in. There was no rush on the QB then. Way different game the 4th quarter!

Going back and watching the game on TV.. I give Cooper props. He hasn’t seen that type of line and rushing all year.
Props to CCH O-Line... they gave that QB all the time in the world to hit his receivers with somehow no holding penalties. Great job!
