Looks like Northern Kentucky finally got some love. Not great representation, but much better than years past.

Good list with many worthy names. Shout out to Graham Ashkettle from South Oldham for third team O-line. The kid can do physics and play some football!

I'm biased obviously but I think Spencer Blackburn was the best QB in the state this year. 15-0 playing against a better schedule then anyone. 2 wins over Lafayette and St. X and a win over Male and MVP in the championship game. He gets hurt because he only started 1 year. Wood is very good but IMVHO he won this (and will win Mr. Football) because he's going to UK.

Wood won it because he is a damn good football player. If Wood went to Trinity and Blackburn went to Lafayette you'd be preaching about how Wood is the best QB in the state. I am glad you admit your bias and I respect that a ton. I have my own biases and I am not ashamed of them either.

Shout out to all of the Boyle County and other local kids that made this team or Honorable Mention. I see a lot of local flavor from Mercer County, Boyle County, Garrard County, Lincoln County, Casey County and Danville. My pocket of CKY had some good teams with some great players on them and this list represents that. Congratulations to all of you. You have made your communities proud!!!

I think if Trevon Faulkner played the entire season, he would have made at least 3rd team! Very gifted athlete with an extremely high ceiling!

Dec 23, 16, 03:50 PM #14Proud of my son Micah Brimer for making honorable mention defensive lineman. He is my last son to play for the Cardinals. He is the smallest of the bunch who surprised a lot of bigger guys across from him. I know his mother was watching over him this year.
