When did HHS collect those extra state titles? They said 21.

Probably the ones prior to 1960. There were a few that weren't counted because the state wasn't keeping track of them officially just yet. But hey, we will take them....

Nice article. Would be even better if they could get the kids names right.

Coach M. calling his incoming team possibly the best thus far makes me chuckle not because it isn't true, but because I know I can look forward to him saying this could be the fastest team they've had in a while.
I'm looking forward to see what the Birds can do this season, also the sign in that article is awesome.

"Nestled amongst the hills of Northern Kentucky resides one of the top programs in the nation."
Having been born in West Virginia and with a mother who hails from Hazard, I think of that scenery as "hills." In Fort Thomas I think of it as flat. Guess I am pretty bias in topography. All in all I liked any article that promotes the athletes in the Commonwealth. I think the Commonwealth in athletics has been kept secret or ignored for too long.

I would say Fort Thomas is actually pretty hilly, though it's not really nestled in hills, and ALOT of those hills are covered in cement.

Actually, I have always just considered it on top of a river valley. Not really hills.
Really, that was the comment that I thought of least when reading the article. Love to see Highlands get nice publicity and don't care if they call Fort Thomas a desert.

Would have even been better if they said they were a 3A school playing in a 5A division.

If you live there you might see it that way, do some landscaping there, and suddenly it's got some pretty steep inclines here and there.

I also thought about that, they could've stated that although they may not get as much notorioty(spelling) as those schools from FL,CA,TX, that most of those school also don't play up 2 classes.

Very nice article. Impressvie History. Happy for you and the recognition you garnered. Perhaps most impressive - IMHO - is the fact of "playing up" several classes, as well as the willingness to take on "bigger schools."
Would still like to see a series with the Rocks.
Too bad for us that we have not been awarded any 'Mythical Championships."
Congrats Again.
