I don't know all the details I am a friend of the family and asked permission to post this so I only post the details given to me. With that said I don't know rules but I am guessing in home visits are not allowed a "chance" meeting at the school with the kid is acceptable.

    Free/Reduced Camp Admission
High-school, preparatory school or two-year college athletes, or any other individual being recruited by an institution, may not be given free or reduced admission privileges to any camp/clinic.

If this young man has not played varsity football and has never been to any camps. How does any of the schools know about him?

All good questions Mustang75. I am trying to find out some information as well because my son is going through some of this stuff right now as well, but he is going to be a senior so the playing field is a little different.

Once again I do not know all the details. Maybe since this was an invite only camp, nobody gets charged. As far as them knowing him, I have no idea if the family has sent something out or if it is the SK coaching staff letting these programs know about him.

6'5" 250lbs / only 14 years old. going to be a very large individual!
Shows interest in football.....you can't teach 6'-5" 250+lbs. You can teach technique!

Coach or parents perhaps? Freshmen that size with good footwork tend to have the word get around.

Good luck to him, will enjoy following him.

I just spoke with Colton's dad and he does have to pay for the Duke camp. Sorry for the misinformation.

Coaches can not contact a player until the spring of the junior year of high school.

With that said, the player can contact the coach anytime they wish and if the coach answers the phone, they are allowed to talk to the player.

I think that some of the comments are regarding this. People know the rules and know that if your info was correct, then it is a violation. Better get info correct before we post on BGP. Don't think for one second that people don't see this stuff.

It is not hard for a player to get the personal cell phone number of a college coach.

Lol! His comments are so far over your head, you can't figure it out? Keep up the good work.

Looking forward to seeing young Mr. Williams in the Fall.
