The West 2A playoffs should be really interesting after this result and the CAL result versus Male. And add in DeSales.

Both these teams are very, very good and very evenly matched. Sindelar is all that and a bag of chips. Peppers, the 6'8 WR is a handful to handle and Boyd made 3 or 4 really great runs, breaking tackles as he went. Really a solid RB. Had 230 yds rushing on the night. Mayfield freshman RB Tragen Bright had over 100 yds for the Cardinals, taking over for Mills in the 2nd qtr after Stuart got banged up a little. Bright's going to be a dandy before all's said and done. Mills did come back to split time with Bright and he also had a solid game. Guhy threw for over 200 yds with a couple of TDs, but, didn't have one of his better nights, but, give the Tigers secondary credit, as they played well all night and didn't give him a lot of room to throw the ball. As expected, both offenses shined and had the advantage over the others defense, but, Caldwell came up with a few more stops when they needed them and Sindelar seemed to always come up big when faced with 3rd downs and a chance to get there offense off the field.

Congratulations to Caldwell and good luck in the playoffs. Hope to see you in BGreen. I think we will. And to the Cardinals, nothing to hold your heads about here, you played a great game and congrats on the 23 game win streak. I'm sure we'll also see you again knocking on the door for another Gold Ball.

Any relation to Mikey Bright from the mid 90's?

What a hard-hitting ballgame! Incredible atmosphere at Tiger Stadium. It was like being at a college game.

I didn't believe the game could live up to the hype, but it may have surpassed it!

Sounds like a great game between two very good teams. Good luck to both in the playoffs.

Congrats to Caldwell County. They have a high potent offense and will be hard to beat. I thought Mayfield had it's chance's and when we tied it 41-41 , Mayfield had the ball and would have had a 1st down on the 30 but got a holding call. Caldwell scored their next series. Both teams are weak on defense and Mayfield has been all year. Entertaining game to watch. I thought Caldwell moved the much easier than Mayfield, they have some very fine receivers and #21 is extremely fast.

Great game. Congrats to the Tigers on the win. It was a treat to watch Caldwell's QB. He is a stud and I hope to watch him on Saturdays. Mayfield played a good game and fought back each time they went down. Glad I got to see this one. Hope to see Caldwell bringing home the Championship to western Kentucky.

I think the biggest difference in the game was Caldwell Co's secondary outplayed Mayfield's secondary. I thought Mayfield's defense played great against the run, but, gave up 4-5 big runs that'd break there backs. Just couldn't get enough stops. It seemed like either Caldwell would get 1 or 2 yards or even lose a yard or 2 or they'd break a huge run. No in between. But, Mayfield's got to learn to wrap up better. Too many times we had them dead to rights and just didn't wrap up and they'd get big gains, plus, Sindelar was very accurate all night and made a lot of big 3rd down conversions, many of those 3rd and a lot. He's very elusive. I was impressed with Mayfields running game, especially that 98 yard drive when they needed to get some momentum back. They answered the bell time and again when they got down, but, had a stretch of 3 series late in the 2nd qtr and the 1st series of the 3rd that they seemed out of sync. Other than that, they looked good. But, against a team like that, you can't afford any bad series and need to come away with points on every possession or at least most of them.

Congratulations to the Tigers...it takes a good team to hand the Cardinals a loss. I did not think that the Tigers would find success with the run and that was what broke our backs. The QB is awsome as it that real tall reciever, Pepper I believe it is. Good luck the rest of the way, I will be pulling for the Tigers to get that AA title

Sounds like this one was everything we hoped it would be. Congrats to Caldwell County & best of luck to both squads in the Playoffs.
