Boyle County / Mercer County game moved up one day

Given the weather predictions and that the teams are in neighboring counties the decision was made to move the game from Friday at 7:30 to Thursday at 7.

So the game starts at 7:00 instead of 7:30?

The 7:00 start time is correct. This Thurs. game may help Mercer because last week was a bye week for them. This gave them most of two weeks to prepare for the Rebels, while Boyle has a short week to get ready for the Titans. A good move for the game in good weather, the fans and tomorrow night will be senior night as well. Should be a great crowd for the game.

I Had a couple ask me about the weather. It's not supposed to be horrible like the hurricane spill over earlier in the season. But the teams are only 12 minutes apart and it's the week 10 throw away game after the district has been decided and playoffs are set so why not. I think the 30 minutes earlier is just because there is school the next day. Plus I can see this one and go watch another game on Friday.

Chuck said in the paper today that he wanted the best weather possible for his seniors on senior night. He didn’t want everyone out there standing in the rain during the ceremony.

I heard Coach Smith moved it for the parents’ comfort.
