That's a nice schedule, but I'm surprised at the way they scheduled the Louisville teams.

I was pulling my schedule info from this Bowling Green website. No idea whether or not they're playing Warren Central, IN.

I went to this website and clicked on game info and it gave the address of Warren Central KY. They played the Indiana version last year as a late replacement for Barren County who dropped out of district play.

It seems like the Purples think they’re going to be pretty good this year. Might be happy to go 6-4.

Could that be Bowling Green High School from Ohio or Missouri?

I have no idea Warren Central (IN) would have that unless it was a different Bowling Green. I can vouch the accuracy of Bowling Green’s schedule that has been posted. Plus, that Warren Central (IN) game was always intended as a stopgap since Barren County bought out their contract. There’s no way Bowling Green would have scheduled that again, especially during district portion of the schedule now that they have five teams in their district.

If I'm not a BG fan, I LOVE this schedule as it has some really intriguing games.

If I am a BG fan and my goal is to challenge for a State Championship, I applaud the competitiveness, but I don't understand:
    1. Why the schedule is SO back-weighted. I mean if you switched Trinity to the Rafferty's Bowl and Father Ryan to game 10 - I get that! Test yourself early and learn from it. But now if you get kids hurt that you are definitely going to need in the playoffs you go from a State Title Contender to 4th Round of the Playoffs at best.

    2. You've set yourself up to go to Louisville 3 times in 2020 with no Vito Tisdale around. The cupboard won't be bear, but it sure will be much younger at the skill positions than 2019. That's a lot to ask.

    3. I believe @NLTanker1 said last season when BG scheduled Warren Central, IN that BG had bit off more than it can chew. Has the same thing happened this year? Don't misunderstand. I applaud playing really good/great teams that will test you, but doing it at inopportune times is much worse to overcome when you are building confidence in your younger players and preparing for the playoffs and with the new district playoff alignment - South Warren in Round 2.

Knowing what you know now, do you feel BG should have scheduled Warren Central, IN a top 10 school in the nation last season the week before South Warren? I think that's a fair question.

Scheduling is an art; I was an All-A student in high school, but I got a C+ in Art class. Am I off base here?

Is there any greater risk in getting injured against Trinity than there is against any other team? I hear people often comment when a tough opponent is on the schedule about injury concerns. I don't see there being any more injury risk playing a really good team versus playing an average team.

Vito Tisdale is enough to make any team good. I was really impressed with him against St.X last year. Probably even better being year older.

You can only schedule the teams that will schedule you. The list of teams to choose from is far more limited at BG than it is at most places. Just think, very few players on BG's roster can even remember a time when the Purples and F-S played. If you made A's in Math, it should become much more understandable.

The Corbin game is one that can’t be overlooked. BG is a top program, but hard to completely understand this schedule especially when they will be breaking in a new QB as well. They’ll definitely be battle tested come playoff time; a lot will depend on the depth of their team.
