Both are solid on defense so it should be low scoring. Now I haven't seen BC since Farris became a full time RB (good move IMO) but I think Dixie has too many weapons to lose twice in a row. I'll take the Colonels 21-14.

I was just wondering if I am somehow missing something.
I kinda agree with you. Most years the scoring is pretty close. I doubt that this game will be any different. Can't wait! It's only Monday too.

Both teams have solid Sophmore running backs.. Boone Faris Dixie Molony... I think it ultimitly comes down whoever can stop thoses 2 and i can't see Boone stopping Molony and even if they slow him down they won't be able to hold metzger either.. and with Atchley anchoring a solid defensive line...so im going Dixie 24-14

I'm a Dixie fan through and through, but you can't be serious. The only teams we've been able to run on are Scott and Lloyd. Our run game is mediocre at best. Molony is a solid sophomore back, but he's not going to run all over Boone. Farris on the other hand is head and shoulders above all sophomores and most upperclassman in the area. He will get his yards Friday night, just like Gray did two weeks ago. However, we cannot give up the big plays, and we must defend the pass. Offensively, the passing game is going to win it for us. Going 4 and 5 wide will cause more problems for Boone than lining up and running right at them.

I kinda agree with you. (Imagine that )It's not a surprise to most of us either, we pass they run. Our running game is not the best, their passing game is not the best. But both can hurt you if you don't protect against them. Both teams have multiple play makers. Arie, Lightner, Farrils, Bogle, Kammer, Douchette, Gibson, and Domaschko for Boone County.
Bricking, Molony, Detmer, Metzger, Huenfeld, Gibson, Gumble, Benson, Denham, Mcquire, Stahlkamp, and Atchley for Dixie.

Plus, I should've emphasized run "GAME". We have solid running backs, but our lineman are molded to pass block, not run block. That's been evident all year long. They do a pretty good job at protecting Bricking, but they really don't open holes for Moloney, Metzger, etc.

I'm definitely making the drive up from Lexington for this one. Should be another classic, same schools, same hype, same importance, different players, won't be the first time these guys meet in the playoffs I guarantee that. If Boone can control the clock and sustain a few long drives, I really like our chances. I have a feeling a lesser known guy is going to make a huge play to decide this one, which team will he come from though??
