4thandGoal-Boone keeps the wheels rolling, to bad there gonna get stopped.

Sounds to me like somebody needs to get over the fact that they didn't make it to the playoffs. Every team that made the playoffs this year disserved to be there, and Boone played their hearts out to be both Ballard and Dixie. Why is it that there is always somebody who has to try to put in their shots because they don't have the ability to root for NKY in general after their team is out? That's pretty childish if you ask me. How about a little encouragement, instead of remarks referring to a sure loss.

On the illegal chop block play, the ref's did call it on Metzger for going low and taking out the lead blocker. The Dixie coaches were upset on the play because they felt that Boone Co should have had the option of taking the penalty from the spot of the foul or the result of the play. Instead the refs added the penalty to the end of the play which gave Boone an additional 10-15 yards. Perhaps a ref could explain what constitutes and illegal block by the defense and whether the penalty can be added onto the result of the play.

What was the call with Metzger's chop block or hit below the waist, or whatever you call it? Kammer was the lead blocker for Farris, and I saw Metzger get lower than Kammer. With it being a head to head play with the ball carrier right behind the lead blocker, I thought the defender could go low to take out the lead blocker?
If a linebacker simply dives at a fullbacks legs then that is illegal, there is a right way and a wrong way to defeat a block and he broke the rules. The only people that can chop people are D-lineman to O-lineman, and vice versa. This isn't the first time Metzger has choped a fullback, he being 5'5'' (on a good day), loves to take out fullbacks illegally. He has been doing it all year long, but has not got called on it. It's about time the officials get it right. I had no problem with the officals last night I think they called a very fair game with few mistakes. They aren't officiating the playoffs for no reason. They are amoung the best.

So does the penalty get marked from the spot of the foul or from the end of the play?

It should be from the spot just like a hold or a block in the back, but i'm not that sure about it. How many yards was the penalty?

The illegal chop block seems to be a point of emphasis this year. I had NEVER seen it called prior to this year.

I would guess its from the end of the play and not the spot - just a guess. It seems like its along the lines of unsportsmanlike penalties since its more of a safety issue.

Great win Boone County. No excuses, we just flat out didn't get it done. I was a little disheartened after the game to hear that there was a little infighting on our sideline. Not sure why, but it seems we were fighting ourselves and the other team. You can't do that against a good team. Mentaly we seemed off all night. It's easy for me to pick apart this one and find reasons why we lost, but I'll save that for someone else. I know we were capable of so much more, but for whatever reason were off all night and BC was dead on. BC's secondary deserves some huge props as they came to play. Boone County once again got it done. Good luck in the rest of the playoffs boys. The way you played tonight Trinity is in for a good game.

The Enquirer reported 37 times for 195 yards.
