I think most everyone was under the impression that Mayfield would take a step back last year somewhat. There were legit reasons people felt that way.
They didn't take long to silence the critics. After the dominating victory on the road against eventual state champ Union City(Tn) in the first game, everyone quickly realized they weren't going anywhere.
Their line play is the only thing I'll be watching for early in the season. I want to see how they fill in a few spots. Other than that, they have the pieces.
I expect just like any other season, if they don't win it all, they'll be right there with a chance for it. 2A is still really good, but Mayfield is definitely my pre-season favorite.
