The old CKC had at one time or another: Boyle, Danville, Henry Clay, Jessamine, Frankfort, Mercer, Harrodsburg, Somerset (Would put them in a Mountains Team since most Mountain fans want to claim them), Woodford County, Anderson County.

Scott County ought to be included for this.
Lincoln County was a CKC member. We were Co-champs in 1981. Stanford was a founding member tof the CKC and KHSAA.

Brain cramp. I don't know how I left Lincoln County off of here.

You need to nominate a few Patriots on here. I know they have had some great talent over the years.

These lists are hard to do because of different eras. You mentioned one of our best ever players as a coach: Snookie Wooldridge. He had a great season in 1961 on a not-very-good team. Until the final game of the season with Paris, he was the CKC leading scorer. I’m living in the past right now with my football research. Lol

Lincoln County career rushing leader running backs
    Scott Newcomb (89-92) 3,770 yds, 346 pts
    Jeremy Simpson (91-93) 3,495 yds, 296 pts
    Michael Penman (87-88) 3,317 yds, 358 pts
    Trent Calhoun (04-06) 2,713 yds, 256 pts

    Athletes
Ronnie Wilkerson, 4 year starter in football, basketball and baseball in an era where that was very unusual. Signed to play QB at EKU after 1979 season.

Kelvin Givens- was heavily recruited nationally and signed with UL after 1989 season. Played all skill positions and defensive back.

Kenny Phoenix- fast, elusive, tough. Had an unbelieveable number of all-purpose yards. Played every skill position and was deadly as a returner. Played at Georgetown college after 1983 senior season.

I don’t have time to make a case for all those who deserve it but I will list some game-changer names that you may remember, in addition to those above:

    Aaron Simpson
    Chris Vanhook
    Tra Carey
    Jason Smith
    Jack Smith
    Donnell Smith
    Dion Shannon
    David Francis
    Maurice Napier
    Braxston Miller
    Mike McGuffey
    Ryan Young
    Nick Hill
    Kelvin “Big K” Alcorn
    David Lawson
    Bobby Johnson
    Levi Rogers
    Pete Penman
    Jeff McGill
    Rodney Turpin
    Brian Turpin

I have attached a picture of the all-State list.

Are we going by position played in HS? If so Jacob Tamme was an absolute stud and Mr. Football candidate however he was all of this at WR/DB and never took a single snap as a TE until college.

I wonder if there is room on the list for Harrodsburg's Gus Parks on defense. Had a great career at Harrodsburg and later for EKU.
