You're living in the best football city in the state. The Colonels will be okay without you.

Have never seemed to raise much interest with my historical comments about Russellville's home field. For you NKy fans, picture a WPC stadium like Dayton, Bellevue or Ludlow and elevate the right back end of the East zone corner by five feet and lower the right back end zone corner of the West endzone by about two feet. Have always marveled that a six foot receiver could run to the East end zone corner and catch a lob pass over a defender at least 14-15 feet high. Home field advantage? You bet! But they are a ground team 90% of their plays.

Been to and played at many but only interesting one aside from many already mentioned was Nicholas Co's old field that had the track cutting into the corners of the endzone with about an inch thick rubber mat placed on top of the running surfaces in each corner.

My list isn't very impressive, but I'll give it anyway.

    Paducah Tilghman
    Caldwell County
    Hopkinsville/Christian County
    Carbondale IL
    Murphysboro IL
    Carterville IL

My favorite is probably Tilghman or Caldwell.

Russellville is on my list of places to watch a game, but I've only driven by it. It looks really cool.

Thanks for the picture. I know my description did not adequately describe visiting Dback's nightmare job. Your visual says it all.

That looks like Three Rivers Taylor's HS field (OH) except the slant was in the other end zone.
I played My football in Ohio. Check out Mansfield Arlin Field.
