Because we can recognize a good team since we are not looking down our noses from our pedestal.

If I can recall, NCC lost to Beechwood (several times in a row) who Bellevue defeated this year.

The Bellevue Dayton game is a big rivalry game that has an intensity that's hard to imagine no matter what the record is of the two teams. The kids on the Bellevue team live in Bellevue and the kids on the Dayton team live in Dayton, they grew up playing each other. Its not surprising that the Dayton kids came out fired up...they had nothing to play for other than beating Bellevue. It would be difficult for someone for NCC to understand that considering their kids might come from Southgate, Newport, Bellevue, Dayton, Alexandria, etc...or wherever there is a good football player.

It would be a good laugh too if NCC stumbled once again with a team loaded with good football players.
