Exciting game. HC never gave up. Gave the Tigers a real run for their money 2nd half.
Congrats to the Beechwood Tigers, District Champs 2006!

Great year for the Indians. #2 in one of the toughest 1A districts in the state is something to be extremely proud of.

From the perspective of the road the loser faces versus the winner it really was more than just a seeding game.

Nice Win Tigers. We are proud of you. But on a bad note Tommy Bankamper went out early with an ankle injury and to hear some rumors at the game it is broke I believe. If that is true hang in there Tommy see u Baseball season.

Love the Bankemper kid -- hope he has a speedy recovery. That would be a big dent on Beechwood's post-season plans. I hope he is okay!

Well first of all congrats to Beechwood on the win. I know I have never seen HC play this year, so I came into this game thinking I would be seeing an unstoppable team from some of the stuff I have heard on here from the HC faithful. But I must say HC didn't really impress me at all. I will say this though they never did quit and tried to make a game out of it in the second half, which is a positive thing. But Beechwood was clearly the better team out of the two, and they did it with probably there best player going out of the game in the 1st quarter. HC has had a good season, but I think some of their fans let there success get to their heads..I know HC beat NCC earlier in the year, but I really dont see HC beating NCC again, so if that happens HC will end the year 3rd in the district again with a first round loss. Which with how great the HC faithful on here have made them out to be, being 3rd in the district and 1st round playoff lost shouldn't happen, but there is a good chance it will. I know I am very interested to see what they have to say about this game, after all the stuff they said in the predicition threads...
By the way I was pretty close on the score, I predicted that it would be Beechwood 31 and Holy Cross 13. So I was only 2 points off which is pretty good...

If Bankamper went out early, who took his place. If he is indeed out for the season how does Beechwood adjust.

My vote is that we talk game stuff and not what some over-enthusastic supporters of EACH team have posted in the past.

Your right Beechwood is the clear #1 and they even did it without probably there best player. I know I really look forward to next weeks game with HC and NCC. I know after watching HC tonight, and with the way NCC has been playing since their loss to HC, I expect to see NCC win. And then have the NCC and Beechwood playing for the district championship.

You are right, but if you knew about a certain PM I got from a HC faithful fan you would understand why I had to get that out...But I am going to try to stop with that right there, because both teams did play hard and it should be just about the game only..

If Bankemper is out Beechwood will adjust. I think QB Elliot is a pretty tough runner and could take up some of the slack right away. They always have someone ready to step in.
- Oct 27, 06, 10:32 PM #18Ryan Amelung took the ball carring duty's after Tommy went down and did ok had one costly fumble ,that lead to HC's second score, at the BW 10 yard line. I think with Dayton coming up in the first round u will see Ryan and the Sophmore Punter Taphei try it. I do think they will go more to a shot gun look like The Blue Birds and run the QB option with Elliot getting most of the carries. Elliot had a nice 70yrd TD run tonight and 2 QB sneak TD's.

Great win for BHS. They came out of the gate wanting it more than HC. HC had a few bad breaks.......but that's fball. The second half was a good half of fball. HC never gave up.
Get well Tommy!
For those who think the district title was tonight.......Not......It is determined the 3rd round of the playoffs.
Tonight wasn't a total lose for me personally. My other nephew plays for CCH.
Here's to you 3ptshooter: Beechwood wins again!

congrats to BHS I hope Bankemper is back next week . Elliot is a stud and should pick up any slack until Bankemper is healthy. On D I thought the Finan kid did a great job, he is better than I expected. HC seemed to get rattled after the blocked punt and it took them almost the whole first half to regain some poise, once they did it was a pretty evenly contested game. But to BHS's credit even is what you want to play when your up 27-0. Here is hoping for 2 great weeks of playoff football in NKY.
