The thing that sticks out to me is that Ashland handled Mason pretty easily and Rockcastle seem to struggle with Mason. Is that true or am I missing something?

I just looked at the result from Rockcastle's schedule and it looks like Clay Co. hung with them also. Ashland could have named the score against Clay.

Not to jinx Ashland but I think they win this one going away. 35-21

Very well put. This is probably the best post so far. Lets just talk about the game on Friday. By the way, why does the Ashland fans have such a grudge towards us. This isn't even a rivaly game for us, just another game to try and get to the region championship. Our rivaly games are in the other bracket playing. (Bell and Madsion Southern)

Ashland has really turned up there program. Holbrook, Reliford ,Castle and others are hard to stop. That Red Zone D-fense is tough.Playing in Putnam Stadium is just a plus.
    Rockcastle is always tough.

Perhaps Ashland remembers the trips to Rock in 02 and 01 (correct me if my dates are wrong) and the long ride home afterwards. From those games I just mentioned, it certainly put Rockcastle as a team Ashland would eventually face if they were going to become regional champs. At least from my perspective, I put Rock and Bell in the same category...perennial powerhouses from that district and an eventual challenge for the Tomcats.

We have a new addition this year with Madison Southern joining the deadly duo of Rock/Bell, but, that will be the topic of an Ashland thread next week (I HOPE).

So that's what's under the hood on this '55 Ford Sunliner!

When I was looking at this baby on the lot, my Beltone batteries were getting low, and I would have sworn the salesman said "those cakes are sweet and your pies are hot". Turns out, he really said "the brakes are beat and the tires are shot".

Sometimes, it just doesn't pay to be a woman ...

Glad to see that you got the new one tuned up and running strong. Wouldn't that be great to see Ashland and Russell on the carpet. I believe that I would hang around and watch the Ashland game. Heck I may even look some of you Tomcats up to hang out with. After all I'll already have my maroon on.

BTW I'm married to a former Tomcat myself. So it wouldn't be much of a stretch to root for the Cats.

Always room for one more, Midee. Especially one that has his own Maroon!!

I'll say one thing - If both the Devils and 'Cats make it to the finals, my house is gonna be one FULL place on Friday night!!

So if you could root for the Cats, why did you vote for the Rock to win?

On a sad note. I truly miss my friend that passed away earlier this year. He was a fixture with the Cats for many years. I'll never forget last year he told me that the Cats had nothing for the Devils and he was right on. He was a great Tomcat and a fine man. I really missed talking to him about the game this year.

And Francis you better have plenty of room if we both make it. I'll have a whole car load of kids with me.

Just to see if anyone noticed. You all harassed onetoya and countypride so I figured i'd try to sneak under the radar.

Trust me if we both make it to the carpet I, along with my wife will be right there rooting for the Cats. If you all can find it in your hearts to allow a Devil fan to join you. :fire:

I have plenty of maroon. Only problem is that it has alot of gold along with it. Hope that will work?
