The end of the game was bonkers. ACS led 27-18 with just over 5 minutes left. They had 4th and Goal on the 5 yard line, but threw an interception at the 1, that East returned 99 yards for the touchdown, making it 27-15. ACS rapidly drove the field after the kickoff, and faced 4th and 3 on the East 5, with just over two minutes left. They didn't get it. East moved 11 yards in two plays, but then hit a big pass play to move to the ACS 7. It had taken just 30 seconds for them to drive the length of the field. And just when it all seemed to be going East's way, they threw an INT in the end zone to seal it.

Your prediction was a razor’s edge away.

I definitely felt in the first game that East didn’t play up to their potential. They had several drives killed by penalties, and in a lot of ways, it appeared to be their worst game of the year. I expected this one would be a lot more difficult for Allen Co.-Scottsville. They were up to the challenge, and really controlled most of the 4th quarter until that pick six. It was one of the better games I’ve seen in person in quite some time.
