If you can't make the game you can listen on (859) Radio!! Click here. You can listen after the game as well. I think this should be a great game actually. After 3 straight losses to the Pioneers, the Birds are trying to sway that momentum pendulum back to Ft. Thomas.

I'm impressed with Hollingsworth throwing about 15 yards per completion and Erik Brown for Simon Kenton about 80 yards rushing a game. Can't wait to broadcast my first ever game from Simon Kenton!

Highlands beat Simon Kenton 38-9 last year.

Yes they did. And another win would be momentum back on their side. One win does not momentum make.

Highlands offense will be to much for for SK. SK is also starting a freshman at QB. He will make to many mistakes as a freshman would. Highlands should be able to name the score. Iím going 45-0.

The freshman QB for SK has some Highlands roots. His uncle PJ Sauer was the QB for Highlands’ 1996 state championship team.

What is Simon's running game like? If they can run the ball and grind the clock maybe it will be competitive.

On the other hand, Highlands' offense looks like it is going to be tough to stop.

How effective has Highlands been running the ball this year? Will they be able to run it against SK?

It depends, Highlands can run plays based on what the D shows. They have a balance of talent. Put too many guys in the box, Hollingsworth has 5 really good WR to throw to. Keep stacking the box and he'll just keep throwing it. Put your D into a soft zone, and Brune/Buten can pick up the yards on the ground. Hollingsworth is also a threat to run at the QB position. The D will dictate what the O does.

What does SK look like upfront? How big are the boys on the OL and the DL?

SK will be bigger on both lines. HHS will run circles around them athletically though.

I think a huge factor is going to be a freshman QB vs a veteran highly skilled linebacker group from Highlands.

I don't doubt that Highlands is the more athletic and skilled team. I just had not heard how much "beef" SK has upfront.

Is everyone healthy and ready to go for Highlands? If so, then I suspect that Highlands will win by 25+
