This is one of my favorite games because most years you knew the regular season game was just an appetizer for the playoff matchup.

I know Male’s defense is very good, what’s their offense like?

They have good QB and Skill people. WR Cummings has several colleges looking at him.

I hope that X wins but I think it’s a long shot. I played for Wallace from 2014-2016 and he always said you’re only so many turnovers better than the opposition. I think if they can play lights out defense and win the turnover battle by at least 2 they might be able to pull this one off.

    Good luck, X.

Playing with a pulled groin which has greatly limited him. Rarely has had to go beyond 1st quarter and St. X might defensively demand more from that injury than Dennis can possibly give before serious injury. These things need rest to heal. Could be a major unexpected factor.

Cummings is out with a torn groin, I am told. Did not play last week and not expected back until playoffs, if then.

Feel bad for him, I know how kids love to play, hope he has speedy recovery.

Last week's Bulldog sideline was alarming. Starters from the beginning of the year on crutches. RB, 2 DBs, WR, etc. I know X isn't going to throw us a pity party and I'm sure Male isn't any less concerned because of a few injured Tigers.

I think both Defenses will play a big role in this game. Turnovers are the x-factor as BOTH teams have struggled with turnovers. I like Male's D to takeover somewhere in the late 3rd quarter and pull away. Wouldn't be surprised if Male reversed last year's score and shut out the Tigers but Male has struggled with stopping big runs.

I don’t see Male scoring 35. Only had 30 against Butler and 17 against Trinity. St.X defense better than both.

If X wins, I think that it throws a wrench into everyone's thought process on the 6A playoffs to some degree.

I agree. I'd be surprised if we had 35 points total.

I would say the only way Male scores 35 points will be because X turned the ball over. Don’t know how good Male’s OL is, but they are big. Male’s defense is very impressive on film, I can only imagine what they look like in person. It’ll be interesting to see what the X staff will be able to do with their offensive scheme.

I've given it a lot of thought over the last few days. I just dont see X going to Preston and leaving with a win. I've tried to argue different scenarios with myself, and the only conclusion I've come to is:
    H- 24
    X- 7
