That would be killer! Who will be guarding Venneman? I know Cov Cath has a really good D, is there any weaknesses?

Yep, since SK barely beat the Birds, Covcath has no shot. Birds will hang 100

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was a Baseball thread, then give me CCH by 28.

Looks like those 3 Ws got CovCath prepared to lose in the first round of the regional tournament again.

Then again, remind me how many Boys State Championship Highlands has won in Baseball, Basketball or Soccer?

Do we want to get into a state championships comparison?

Does the scoreboard go out to 3 digits? Cov Cath could put 100 up.

I am hoping the rivalry factor + Huddy + the offense hitting on all cylinders + health might shrink the paper gap. If Cov Cath does not play their A game and Highlands gets the ball the bounce their way a few times this one could be interesting.

Highlands defensive weakness has been run defense up till now and they have faced running backs better than McGuinness. Now they have Huddy and I really believe that is a huge difference after watching him play last week. Birds pass defense is actually pretty good.

I think a really big factor could be what Cov Cath's pass defense is like, and who will be on Venneman.

Sadly my score prediction is this:
    Highlands 24
    Cov Cath 42
The game is surprisingly close for a couple quarters and then the Colonels pull away and have too many weapons.
You better go back and see what McGinness does to Highlands. Best Running Back they have and will see all year.

Let's get into a 2017 comparison. Unless they award each team a point for state titles before kickoff, history is irrelevant.

A lot of the same cast of characters for CCH's offense who put 63 on the Birds last year.

CovCath has Casey, and Dyer and Shrieber are heavier bruising backs to complement Casey. AJ is pretty good running too. I think several teams came in thinking CCH wasn't as good as their record, and then the game happened....
