If Bell makes it to the region and if Lex. Cath. is there. Bell would have to go to Cath. [/QUOTE]
If it gets that far LC would play at Franklin

I have heard it would be at Bell and then it would be at Lexington Catholic. So there seems to be some confusion around where the 3rd round game would be played if it were Bell v. Lex Cath.

Here's what I found on the KHSAA site. This year the Region 4 championship is District 6 v. District 7. Bell is in District 7 and Lex Cath is in District 6. After reading rule 4 on determining who hosts a Regional Championship, it sounds like to me (if it were to be Bell v. Lex Cath in the 3rd round) Bell would play at home? Please read below and see if you interpret it differently?

    KHSAA RULES AND REGULATIONS
    Governing the Football Championships

II) Dates and Times for Playoff Games

A-4) The highest seed (finishing position in the district) shall host
the regional championship game (third round). Should teams
    with the same seeding
meet in the third round, the team
representing the even-numbered District shall host the games
in even-numbered years, while the team representing the odd numbered
District shall host the game in odd-numbered years
    .
If the paired districts are both even or both odd, the highest
numbered district shall host the game in even numbered years
and the lowest numbered district shall host the game in odd
    numbered years.

A win is a win, Lex. Cath. only scored 14 on Harrison County FC put 38 on them so I am not sure you can use that game as a comparison. But I do agree that FC will have to play very well to beat Bell or Catholic and they had better work hard and take care of the district first.

I do not think that Lex Cath and Bell can play in the 3rd round. The 3rd. round is the Regional Finals. Lex Cath. vs. Franklin.... should the top seeds advance to play each other. The 4th. round should be the round that these two teams can meet.

Wrong. Lex Cath District winner will play Bell's District winner in the Regional finals. Franklin's district winner will play Boyd's district winner in the Region. It is different this year with realignment.

If Franklin County plays the way they did against East Jessimine.. (and should the teams advance) they will get destroyed by Bell or Lex Cath.

With this being the first year for the new format it gets confusing. Why would Lex Cath be in the same region as Bell with Franklin, and Harrison's district so close by not be in their region? Last season they where all in the same district and now they can't be in the same region?

But "IF" Franklin Co. plays the way they did against Harrison , they could beat either Bell or Lex. Cath. That's why they play the games.

I like Bell Co. to make a deep run in the Class 4A Playoffs.
