Both teams are 3-0. Both teams are pretty dang good but it's hard to go against Boyle County at this point. Mercer County has a solid defense but they lack on offense. Coach B is doing an excellent job and will make some noise in 3A this year but this Boyle County team is a different animal. It'll be a running clock but not exactly sure of the score yet. I like the 52-7 score posted above me so I'll just go with that.

Mercer County struggled somewhat with 2A West Carter(was 3a last year),so they will definitely struggle with Boyle County. I expected Mercer to win by more against West Carter.

Yeah but they followed all of that by beating a decent Anderson County team on the road. Granted it's only like 15 miles away.

I don't know about Anderson, but West Carter isn't very good. Their win was against a very down Lewis County team 50-7.Then the 21-0 loss to Mercer.

Mercer County looks to extend their unblemished record another week. To do so, all they have to do is beat the team from Boyle County. Boyle is unbeaten and untested, having only allowed 7 points in 3 games. Who wins?

Actually the Defense has allowed 0 points.

    The 7 came from a "Pick 6"

Mercer had a very good win at Anderson that did not surprise me. Boyle is at a different level though.Rebels 45-7.

I voted Mercer, but that’s just a loyalty issue, mostly. I do however think Mercer’s defense will be a good test for the Rebels and I’m looking forward to this game, for a change.

There was already a thread on this game, can a Mod combine them?

Apart of me would like to see Mercer County's defense give Boyle County a run for their money but I just don't see it happening. I guess that's why the game is played.

We are excited about the challenge. The Rebels have an outstanding program lead by one of the finest coaches in the history of KY HS Football. Both teams are 3-0.

Alvis Johnson Stadium is a great place for HS football. We have new bleachers, lighting and an immaculate bermuda surface. There are no visitors bleachers so we also have a great setup for tailgating up and down the entire sideline.

Hope to see a bunch of KY HS football fans in Harrodsburg on Friday night!
