    2A #5 Somerset at #8 Danville

This is a match-up of teams trying to get back in the win column. Somerset (5-2) came out on the wrong end of a tough scrap with Raceland, 19-17 in Week 6. And Danville (3-4) dropped a 32-25 decision to Tates Creek, placing the Ads below .500 again.

I know we have Jumper and Ads fans around.

What are your all’s thoughts on this much anticipated matchup?

This will be the first time in a while that Danville wont be a heavy favorite to win this game but I think they are still the favorite, just barley. Danville has lost there drive or confidence or something and seem to be going through the motions with no sense of urgency. A win against Somerset could right the ship and help motivate the Ads to get all they can out of this season. A loss to the Jumpers will continue the Ads decent from the pinnacle they reached last year.

Jumpers D has played great pretty much all season but has given up a few big plays that have bitten them.
It's important to not turn the ball over and give the Ads easy points or a short field. This Jumper team hasn't shown a dynamic offense capable of quick scores against quality teams.

I expect a hard hitting game and the winner of the turnover battle winning the game.

Danville is just too offensively challenged this year to make me pick them in a game like this. Somerset is always a tough test and arguably gave the Ads their biggest challenge before Mayfield in the playoffs last season. I think they probably come out on top in a relatively close contest.

I think this game depends on Danville qb Zach Thornton, if he plays well and hits the open receivers Danville got a shot, if he's not hitting the receivers and gets hurt running the ball Somerset will win by 2TDs. Thornton has missed a lot of open receivers this year. Also, they better get the ball in #2 McGuire hands A lot. He's by far the best player on the team, and the player that can change the game in Danville's favor.

The last thing I heard was that Coach Clevenger said His shoulder was still very soar fromthe injury He suffered at Tates Creek and probably would not play.

While that will have a huge impact in this game if it ends up that way I think these 2 teams are destined to meet again in the playoffs anyway.

I am taking the Bunnies. They really impressed me last week, especially the defense.

Somerset will win by 3tds. No way they let a freshman qb beat them. Coach Lucas will blitz every play.

Danville is a little banged up right now but think they find away to win this one. 28-14 ADS.

Danville has zero depth. Take away Thornton and Danville is really gonna struggle.

I will take Somerset in a close game.

    Somerset 21
    Danville 20
