I expect returning players Daniel Pettit and Tyler Rollins to have monster seasons. Both are big, strong players with talent. Returning QB, Ryan Moses, should also perform well this fall. Williamsburg has alot of young talent coming up with Jared Barton added to the team. The Jackets should be a force to contend with for the next couple of years.

I have heard some names mentioned like Ed Lawson, Justin Moore, and Jason Powers. All of which are coming from cross-town Whitley County. I don't know if there is any truth to any of this. We all know how rumors are.

They would have to move into the W'burg school district to be eligible.........can't see it happening as Whitely will fight it every step of the way.

These kids would certainly have to have a bona-fide change of address before their transfer.

Where some people make a mistake is they transfer first and then move later. I hate to see kids be apart of all this in fighting, and not be eligible but rules are rules. That's why you better know where you want to play as an 8th grader.

AND not be transferring for athletic purposes.....

if they move for athletic purpsoses, then the bona fide change of address is moot.

    Intent

Intent is difficult to prove one way or the other. where people have made mistakes is that they transferred BEFORE they moved (no name mentioned). If ENTIRE FAMILY vacates previous residence, has nothing to do with previous residence, moves to a new residence in the district, and then transfers schools, then typically that is considered bona fide change of address. Some people just don't seem to understand that no matter who you know, how much you lie, how many people you publicly slander...if you transfer BEFORE you move, you are going to be ruled ineligible.

The move before or after a transfer is irrelevant. If the purpose is for athletics then there is a possibility of ineligibilty. As I said earlier.

I agree, luckily for Williamsburg they are ranked in the top 20 in state academically and US Nes has them as a top five school in the entire state!
